Clock - French, fabulous mid-19th century palace-size brass ball form mantle clock with time and strike and matching separate base, two large detailed and sculpted brass winged cherubs above two reclining women playing a game of pick up sticks, case inset with polished malachite, dial with applied Roman numeral indices, clock measures approximately 30 inches wide x 20 inches tall x 9 inches deep and weighs approximately 60 pounds, would make an excellent addition to a mantle or for the person who loves waking up to the sound of a bell. CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, clock will strike half hours reliably but will not always strike on the hour, recommend a clockmaker's overhaul, excellent movement condition with several oil spots, case with several areas having lost their gilt finish with the underlying brass showing, side portions of inset malachite have been cracked and repaired at some point.
